Overview
While operating an aircraft, a pilot must have in his or her possession a pilot certificate, a medical certificate, and government-issued photo identification. The pilot certificate must have the appropriate Category, Class, and Type (if applicable) ratings required for the operating being conducted. The medical certificate must be within time limits for the exercise of privileges of the medical class required for the operation being conducted.
