Aerodynamic Stall

Overview

An aerodnamic stall — or simply "stall" — is a rapid decrease in lift caused by the separation of airflow from the wing's surface brought on by exceeding the critical angle of attack (AOA). A stall can occur at any pitch attitude or airspeed. Pilot's should be aware that the only way to recover from a stall is to reduce the AOA below the critical AOA.
