Terminal Aerodrome Forecast (TAF)

Overview

The Terminal Aerodrome Forecast (TAF) is a weather product that provides a forecast for a 5 NM radius of a given airport for the next 24 to 30 hours. The TAF is in a similar format to the METAR and is used primarily as an estimate of the winds, cloud coverage, and visibility for a specific time.
