Overview
Wind and Temperature Aloft Forecasts (FB) are computer-prepared forecasts of wind direction, wind speed, and temperature at specified times, altitudes, and locations. FBs are used primarily for flight planning performance calculations. The official forecast data is found in textual format that is useful for making those calculations. A graphical version is produced to aid in route planning and situational awareness, but it cannot be a substitute for the actual FB text data.
